A floor of cars,
not a showroom of stories

We sell American classics from Detroit. The way we work has not changed much over the years: buy carefully, inspect properly, and tell the buyer what we found.

How we work

Most classics are sold twice before they find the right owner. A car changes hands at an auction, turns up on a forecourt with a coat of polish, and the story of what is underneath it gets a little shorter each time. We buy at the first step and sell at the last, and we write down what we know in between.

That means a car can sit on our floor for weeks while we work through it, and it means we sometimes turn cars away. It also means that when you call about one of our listings, the person answering has physically been underneath it.

What the inspection actually covers

Every car goes through the same checklist before it is listed. These are the parts that change a buyer's decision:

Structure and frame
Rails, floors, torque boxes, subframe mounts — the places that decide whether a car is worth restoring.
Panels and paint
Panel gaps, filler depth, previous repair, and whether the paint is single-stage or cleared.
Engine and drivetrain
Compression, leaks, smoke, casting and stamping numbers, and whether the numbers match the car.
Wear items
What has been replaced recently and what is due. We record it; we do not take on the work ourselves.
Everything that works
Lights, gauges, windows, radio, heater. Old cars always have something; we list it rather than let you find it.
Documents
Title in hand, previous registrations, build sheets, receipts — and what is missing.

Every photograph on this site was taken by us, of the actual car, on the day it was listed. We do not use stock photography or pictures borrowed from another listing.

  1. 01

    The price is the price

It is published on the listing before you call. We do not add dealer fees, preparation charges or delivery surprises at the desk.

  2. 02

    We inspected it ourselves

Every car goes through our own inspection. If something is wrong with it, it is in the listing — including the rust we would rather not mention.

  3. 03

    Photographs of the real car

No stock images and no borrowed photographs. What you see on the listing is the car on our floor, photographed the day it was listed.

  4. 04

Seven days to change your mind

If the car is not what we said it was, bring it back within seven days for a full refund. We put that in writing on the invoice.

We sell cars
the way we would
want to buy them.

There is no clever pricing here, no preparation fee and no photograph of somebody else's car. What is on the listing is what is on the floor, and what is wrong with it is written down.

  • Written invoice, not a handshake
  • Third-party inspection welcome
  • Title transferred in your name
  • Seven days to change your mind
